Spyder (Joe Lester)
Spyder, a dokładnie Joe Lester nie jest osobą przypadkową w Steel Panther. Panowie znają się ponad 25 lat, grał w Atomic Punk z Satchelem i Starrem. Jednocześnie w swoim życiu był barmanem i fotografem -> https://joe-lester.smugmug.com/.
Spyder był również ich tour managerem Steel Panther i technicznym jednocześnie, czasami w niektórych numerach zastępował Lexxiego na scenie. Zastępował go też podczas wielu koncertów i ich trzeciej europejskiej trasy. W październiku 2022 roku oficjalnie dołączył do składu zespołu. W 2024 roku nagrał ostatni studyjny album Steel Panther „On The Prowl”. Ciekawostką jest fakt, że jego wokal pojawił się również na „Feel The Steel” oraz „Balls Out”.
Jego look był początkowo krytykowany jako kopia Nickiego Sixx (wynikało to z tego, że wcześniej występował w zespole poświęconemu twórczości Motley Crue jako 6XXX) , potem zdecydowanie zmienił swój styl na unikalny, ale w klimacie lat 80. Jak sam mówi, nie zamierza nikogo kopiować, tylko stworzyć nowy charakter, sam był fanem Lexxiego jako persony. I jest świadom, że nigdy nie będzie tak sexy jak Lexxi.
Spyder, or rather Joe Lester, is not a random person in Steel Panther. The gentlemen have known each other for over 25 years, he played in Atomic Punk with Satchel and Starr, then he was their photographer.Spyder was also their tour manager and roadie at the same time, sometimes replacing Lexxi on stage for some songs. He also replaced him when he was unable to perform, during many shows and their third European tour. In October 2022, he officially joined the band. In 2024, he recorded the last Steel Panther studio album, "On The Prowl". Interestingly, his vocals also appeared on "Feel The Steel" and "Balls Out".
His look was
initially criticized as a copy of Nicki Sixx (this was due to the fact that he
previously performed in a band dedicated to Motley Crue as 6XXX), then he
definitely changed his style to a unique one.
