Jest w Polsce miasto o nazwie WROCŁAW i właśnie tam dnia 16 czerwca 2024 roku w klubie muzycznym A2 przy ulicy Góralskiej odbył się siódmy koncert amerykańskiego zespołu STEEL PANTHER. Zespół przybył na miejsce około 11.30, a ich autokar ze sprzętem ledwo się złamał w wąskiej uliczce. Muzycy okazali się być supermiłymi ludźmi i porozmawiali z fanami czekającymi na nich przed koncertem. Wejście było od 19.00 (wcześniej weszło około 10 osób, które miały wejściówki VIP). Niestety, nie było supportu - zespół zaczął grać około 20.15. Koncert rozpoczęło intro, a potem było standardowe "The Eyes Of The Panther".
Zaskoczeniem w playliście była duża ilość utwórów z najnowszego wydania "On The Prowl": "Friends with Benefits", "Sleeping on a Rollaway" oraz już klasyczne "1987", gdzie na gitarze Starr zamienia się z Satchelem prowadzeniem na gitarze. Nie zabrakło też starszych kawałków, takich jak "Asian Hooker", melodyjnego "Just like Tiger Woods" czy "Tommorow Night". Zamiast impresji Ozzy'ego była seria coverów klasyków z lat 80: "Shout At The Devil" Motley Crue, "Photograph" Def Leppard, gdzie Stix grał jedną ręką na perce czy Bon Jovi. Oczywiście, nie można zapomnieć o świetnym solo Satchela, gdzie precyzja każdego dźwięku powalała wraz z klasyczną melodyjnością.
To był już szósty koncert Steel Panther, na którym byłam. Za każdym razem jest inaczej, show jest nieprzewidywalny i widać, że muzycy wkładają w to, co robią całe serce. A i są jak wino - im starsi, tym lepsi. Będziecie mieli czas wpadnijcie na ich koncert, ale koniecznie dzieci zostawcie w domu i wyjmijcie kij z dupy.

This won't be a typical review - it’s warning to those, who are reading it. There is a city in Poland named WROCŁAW, where on June 16, 2024, a US based band, STEEL PANTHER, performed their seventh concert at the A2 music club located at the Góralska Street. The band arrived at the venue around 11:30, and their tour bus could barely fit into the shortcut of the narrow street. The musicians turned out to be exceptionally kind people, engaging with fans waiting outside before the concert. Doors opened at 19:00 (approximately 10 people with VIP tickets entered the venue earlier).
Unfortunately, there was no opening act – the band began playing around 20:15. The concert started with an introduction, followed by the standard track "The Eyes Of The Panther." The setlist was a surprise, featuring a substantial number of tracks from their latest release, "On The Prowl," including "Friends with Benefits," "Sleeping on a Rollaway," and the classic "1987," where Starr switches lead guitars with Satchel. Older tracks weren’t missing either, such as a catchy "Asian Hooker," the melodic "Just like Tiger Woods," and the popular "Tomorrow Night."
Instead of the intro impersonation of Ozzy, the band performed their own signature series of the 80’s classics covers: "Shout At The Devil" by Motley Crue, "Photograph" by Def Leppard (with Stix playing the drum solo with one hand), and Bon Jovi. Of course, we can't forget about Satchel's amazing solo, showcasing every note with precision and classic tune skills.
The show was highlighted by selecting one of the ladies from the crowd for a special song, composed just for her and performed by each member of the band, followed by a performance with a group of 17 girls on stage, which was, as always, a great show. Certainly, there was an encore, the closing show song, "Gloryhole."
This was my sixth time seeing Steel Panther live, and every show is different, unpredictable; and you can see, that the musicians pour their hearts out into what they do. And they're like fine wine - the older they get, the better they actually are.
If you have an opportunity, don't miss their show, but leave the kids at home, get off (your high horse) and chill.
