„Nie można kogoś zastąpić. Trzeba
robić po swojemu z nadzieją, że dopasujesz się i tłum cię zaakceptuje, i to
jest wspaniałe. (…) Fani byli niesamowici, to był jeden z początkowych
koncertów z trasy europejskiej. Wychodzisz i masz przed sobą ludzi, którzy
jeszcze nie wiedzą, że Lexxi opuścił zespół, a oni patrzą na nowego kolesia na
scenie. Szok na ich twarzy i takie „Co się tu dzieje?”, a potem, po trzech czy
czterech numerach, widzisz ich uniesione ręce. Pod koniec koncertu skandowali
głośno „SPY-DER”. To było absolutnie niesamowite. Fanthersi są cudowni, to było
cudowne zostać zaakceptowanym przez nich. Wiadomo, zawsze znajdzie się ktoś,
kto powie „Tęsknię za Lexxim” czy „Chcę Lexxiego z powrotem w zespole”. Też za
nim tęsknie, reszta zespołu też. On odszedł sam, a zespół istnieje dalej, a ja
jestem tym szczęściarzem, który może to kontynuować. To marzenie, które się
spełniło.”
„(...) You can never live up to someone like that or replace something like
that. You just have to do your own thing, and hopefully it translates and it
fits in and the crowd accepts it and it's great. (...) The fans have been
amazing. It was kind of fun on some of the early European shows when we would
first come out, and you have the people that don't know that Lexxi had left the
band and they're looking at this new guy on stage. And the look of shock on their
face, and, like, 'What's going on here?' And then, three or four songs into it,
they've got their hands up, going, 'You rock', and giving me the horns. And by
the end of the show, they're chanting 'Spy-der! Spy-der!'
And it's absolutely amazing. The Fanthers are so great, and it's been so
wonderful to be accepted by them the way it has. There's always gonna be a few
people that say, 'I miss Lexxi Foxx' or 'We want Lexxi back in
the band.' I miss him too, and the guys miss him too. But it was his choice to
leave, and the band's gotta go on. And I'm just fortunate that it worked out
that I could do it. 'Cause it's a dream come true."
